Services
Make work easier to get right.
Human factors looks at how people, tasks, tools and organisational decisions work together. We apply it to practical problems in quality, health, safety and environment: recurring defects, difficult procedures, unreliable handovers and systems that depend too heavily on individual experience.

What would you like to improve?
The right starting point depends on what is happening at your workplace. You may need to understand a recurring problem, improve one process, investigate an incident or prepare for new software. Tell us what you are seeing and we can help work out the scope.
A critical task, procedure or interface keeps failing the people using itHuman factors →A closer look at a difficult task, followed by practical changes to its instructions, tools, information or handovers. Tested with the people who use them.Findings keep recurring and no one can say whySystems diagnostic →An evidence-based explanation of recurring problems, a prioritised set of changes and a concise leadership summary. A standalone piece of work, not a commitment to a wider programme.Your management system no longer reflects how work is doneManagement-system re-design →Clear responsibilities, useful procedures and workable checks, connected to day-to-day decisions. Changes planned around your requirements and existing certification arrangements. One process is slow, bypassed or keeps producing defectsProcess optimisation →A re-designed process with clearer handovers, decisions and responsibilities. Tested against the delays, rework or defects you need to address.Something serious has happened, or keeps happeningIncident investigation →An evidence-based account of what happened, the conditions that contributed and the changes needed to reduce recurrence. Actions linked to responsible owners. An ERP or platform is being selected, built or signed offImplementation and support →Clear operational requirements and acceptance tests for your software project. Your implementer builds; we help you check that the result supports the work and its required controls.
You do not need to choose a service before we talk. Tell us what is happening and we will help work out the scope. If a systems diagnostic is the right first step we will say so; it stands alone and commits you to nothing after it.
How we agree the work
A useful scope. A clear finish.
Before the work
Understand your need
Start with what you are seeing, what has already been tried and what needs to change. We work out whether we are the right fit and what information is needed next.
In the proposal
Agree the scope
Agree the outputs, your team's involvement, timing and completion criteria in writing. The work may be a focused review, a re-design or implementation support; not every engagement needs all three.
At handover
Check the result
Review the agreed outputs with you. Where changes are implemented, test them in use and make ownership clear. Identify what has been demonstrated and what still needs follow-up.
